How to Make a Landing Page in WordPress that Converts
Many of us want to know how to make a landing page in WordPress that converts. Well, the answer to this question is far easier than many out there believe. This is best accomplished through a Thrive Themes Membership.
Often newbies to WordPress think they will need to build a full-blown website displaying lots of products to drive customers to. Or to create an e-commerce store through Woo-Commerce or Shopify.
Wanna Know How I Gained My Life Back?
I have gone down both of these paths. In the past I have used Woo Commerce. In fact, more recently I created an online store using Shopify.
While in both cases this can be true, this is not the easiest way toward getting conversions.
Creating Landing Pages with WordPress are the answer, and in the next several sections I am going to show you how.
But first, let me give you a powerful tool that will take the complication out of figuring out how to make a landing page in WordPress that converts.
There are affiliate links within this post. What this means is that if you decide to purchase anything through one of my links, I'll be rewarded with a small commission at absolutely no extra cost to you. This small commission helps me run and maintain my website.

Thrive Themes: How to Make a Landing Page in WordPress
Landing Pages are singular highly focused direct response pages. They are ideal if you want to lead your visitors into taking a very specific action, such as opting into an email list, or to purchase a product.
Anytime one of those visitors opts into your list by giving you their contact information, or purchases a product from your website, in the online marketing world we call that a conversion.
Once those visitors convert they become your customers. And many will remain loyal customers to your products and services for many years to come.

What I Like about Thrive Themes Landing Pages
The most wonderful thing is that with Thrive Theme Landing Pages, absolutely no design or coding knowledge and skills are needed to build these high converting landing pages.
But this is far from all of it!
In the following paragraphs, I thoroughly explain the most compelling features I love about Thrive Themes landing pages and how to build them using their premiere drag ‘n drop editor, Thrive Architect.
Landing Pages Built for Conversions
Thrive Themes landing pages are built for conversions. With a current catalog of 274+ professional-looking design templates, all are lean coded to be highly optimized for conversions.
Thrive Architect’s Easy Drop ‘n Drag Editor
When you enroll as a member in Thrive Themes, bundled together with some of their other great products you will automatically get their premiere WordPress front-end editor Thrive Architect.
If you already know anything about WordPress, the tools and options in the standard WordPress Dashboard (in WordPress.org) does not allow you to see the final end design of your website or landing page while you are creating it.
This is where a front-end editor differs from the WordPress back office and steals the show.
Here Thrive Architect is the star of this show, and enables any person with zero design and coding skills to design beautifully professional websites and landing pages through their simple drop ‘n drag editor.
What is Drag 'n Drop?
Drag ‘n drop is exactly how it sounds. You simply select any element from the right side of the Thrive Architect screen, right-click on the element and drag ‘n drop that element into the work area.
Once that element resides in the work area, Thrive Architect automatically provides you with a number of different options for adding content to that element you just added to the work space.
With the Thrive Architect editor, everything follows a simple idea. Every obstacle for building the content you want has been removed. They call it “click-to-editing”.
Whenever you want to change something, you simply click on it and you’ll instantly see your edits. If you want to move something, you click, drag and drop.
Once you are satisfied with the content you have added, removed, or edited, on the bottom right-hand of the screen you simply click the “Save Work” button, and you have saved the content onto that landing page.
Continue to build out your landing page by adding a wide variety of elements in the same manner and very soon you will have a Landing Page that is optimized for high conversions you can be proud of!
Although Thrive Architect is not the only visual editor out there for WordPress, it is the one and only editor that is laser focused for business websites and landing pages to convert, and it is built for do-it-yourself entrepreneurs.
It is simply the best way how to make a landing page in WordPress
Simple Yet Comprehensive Short Tutorials
Perhaps the best thing I love about Thrive Themes products are that you are given access to simple yet comprehensive short tutorials for each item of learning.
This is outstanding as this means less time learning and more time building content!
Detailed Lessons on How to Make a Landing Page in WordPress
Each of the lessons has both text and usually short video tutorials, and in addition there is a Knowledge Base in Thrive Themes that gives you very specific instructions on how to create specific content.
However I can personally vouch that only through taking massive actions by working extensively with the editor, building landing pages, and experimenting with all of the elements that we will become proficient with this powerful all-encompassing tool.
Mobile Responsive Design Preview Screens
Thrive Architect has mobile responsive design modes. They are located at the bottom of the screen along with the review option.
What is great with Thrive Themes landing pages is that through Thrive Architect you can switch specific elements on and off so that they don’t appear on mobile devices or tablets.
You can also move elements to different locations, and literally create totally separate and distinct designs for three different view screens (desktop, tablet, and mobile).
24/7 Access to Thrive Site Support
Occasionally but rarely there can be puzzles that we cannot solve using the Thrive tutorials alone, but have no fear.
Here is where the Thrive Themes 24/7 Site Support become an invaluable addition.
With all yearly Memberships, you will receive unlimited 24/7 Lifetime Tech Support. For me, this was a time-saver and a project-saver. On several occasions I ran into barriers I could not solve.
I simply reached out to the great Thrive Tech Support Team and submitted a site support ticket. Usually within 24 hours, I have my detailed answer and solution to the problem I faced. Often these solution were accompanied by short personally made video screen captures showing me the solution to the problem.
Every time, Thrive Site Support was able to come up with a solution to my problem. This alone is worth the price of Thrive Theme membership.
The Price of Thrive Membership?
So now we arrive to the burning question.
What does a yearly Thrive Themes membership cost?
And what other products besides Landing Page Templates and Thrive Architect are included?
A Superb Value
Here is where the value of a Thrive Themes membership is superb.
For a Thrive Membership cost of merely $19 per month (which is paid once per year $228), you get a bundle of the following x high conversion products:
- 1 Thrive Architect - The Best Drag ‘n Drop WordPress Editor
- 2 Thrive Landing Pages - 274+ incredible landing page templates that convert
- 3 Thrive Leads - #1 Email List Building plugin for WordPress
- 4 Thrive Headline Optimizer – Test headline to find the highest converting ones

This is a spectacular value that could easily cost 5-10 x this price at market value.
What I Don’t Like about Thrive Themes Landing Pages
Really not very much.
If I am pressed, I will cite 2 areas where Thrive Landing Pages can be improved:
Must Customize Desktop, Tablet, and Mobile views Separately
When you make edits in the drag ‘n drop editor in Thrive Architect, the program will not automatically resize all of the images and place the text in the proper alignment for desktop, tablet, and mobile views.
Each view will appear differently, and in the editor you must modify each of the 3 views individually to get it looking right in that view.
For example, a large 730 x 1500 photo of a person will not auto-resize in mobile. However, you can turn off the visibility of images and text for each view so only that particular group of text or image will show for that view.
The upside however is that you have total customization of each view at your fingertips. You will just need to spend more time getting each view “perfect.” Even though there really is no such thing.
Slow Response Time by Tech Support
I mentioned this in my separate Thrive Architect Review, and this is a big one.
There needs to be a system in place where response time by Tech Support is less than 24 hours. In some cases, I had to wait 48 hours to receive a solution to my support ticket.
Ideally there should be Live Chat Tech Support in place, which currently does not exist in Thrive Themes.
I mentioned this to Thrive Themes and they are looking into making improvements here.
Conclusion: Is Thrive Themes Worth It?
You bet it is.
I recommend this bundle of great products 100% despite some shortcomings with the Tech Support turnover time, and extra work tweaking the view of each Landing Page.
At $228 for the year licensing fee or $19 per month, even with these shortcomings Thrive Themes is an incredible value that will add many conversions to increase your bottom line in business through all of your landing pages.
Most of all, Thrive Themes simply represents the best way how to make a landing page in WordPress
In addition, you receive 12 other outstanding Thrive products for that one price per year.
One of the outstanding products you will receive in the bundle with your Thrive Themes membership is Thrive University, a thorough and comprehensive selection of 26 online business courses.
Each of these courses teach valuable topics such as how to create online webinars, SEO, how to build your information product empire, how to increase your targeted email list, and so much more.
The educational value you will get from Thrive University alone is well worth the $228 per year price.
