Here are 13 interesting facts about Cyber Bullying.

Cyber Bullying is currently a serious worldwide epidemic that affects 1 out of every 7 students from kindergarten to Grade 12 who either are the bully or have been a victim of cyber bullying.

The numbers are staggering. In the U.S. alone, there is an estimated 160,000 children that miss school every day because they fear a cyber bullying attack or intimidation by other students.

We were recently invited as special guests to attend the “Bruce Lee Stop the Bullying Tour” at the Sky Room Rooftop Lounge in NYC. I will get back to more about that event later in this post.

Stop the Bullying Comments

First, the following comments should tell you how alarming this problem has become, particularly for our children.  Here are what some of our 1.5 million worldwide members of my great community said about Cyber Bullying:

This is such an important topic.
Bullies have been around forever! When I got bullied at grammar school, nobody really took any action on it until it got really serious, despite that fact that I told parents and the teachers (nuns at the Catholic school). It was another one of those things people didn't really want to talk about in the '60s. So, I had to learn to stand up for myself because those that should have intervened, did not do so in a timely manner. It was just the mental mindset (well, at that time anyway growing up in the Bay Area of California).

Now, with the internet, it has become even worse and the thought of kids committing suicide is bone-chilling. It's even worse when it can be done remotely. Face to face you have some chance at standing up for yourself.
Great for you two to be a part of this issue that continues to flourish in the 21st century.

Bullying is something witnessed 24/7. Our schools try to keto up with it, but they also need the assistance of our youth and parents. Parents need to stop letting their children have unsupervised internet access and social media. They need to go through their phones constantly.

I took my daughter's cell phone because of what others were sending her and I have the support of her school. She will not get a cell phone until she starts driving. Even then it will be a flip phone. Bottom line is, we need to do more other than complain and blame others. We need to take action. – Anonymous

A great night for a great cause. If there is one thing I don't tolerate anywhere is bullying and cyberbullying is very wrong as people are hiding behind a screen and making life for people hell.

I really hope that these events will be able to make a difference. Children bullying other children is bad enough but when you get to being part of a workforce and then are being subjected to workplace bullying, it is all so wrong. – Anonymous

Hi, right now I'm working on a parent's guide E book to bullying that I will offer with my new book about stalking. Yes, I more than support it, I have seen the devastating effects of stalking and bullying and it is past time for us to do something about it. Such comments speak to the problem itself. This is why we as humans collectively need to find new ways and take affirmative action to stop cyber bullying.

Bruce Lee Stop the Bullying Tour

Recently we were invited to attend as special guests to the “Bruce Lee Stop the Bullying Tour” at the Sky Room Rooftop Lounge in NYC by Howard Helfgott and the Bruce Lee Event Dream Team.

This event was held on a day to commemorate Bruce Lee’s 78th Birthday. There were also some memorial celebration performances.

The event is only the first of a series of Bruce Lee events around the US that will be held to raise money towards a noble cause of a very relevant and disturbing problem our children and their parents face today: cyber bullying.

Save the Lives of Teens from Cyber Bullying

The long-term objective of this series is to save the lives of Teens who are committing suicide due to cyber Bullying.

With the rise of the Internet came new ways for students to bully others nonstop. Cyber Bullying has become an epidemic that affects not only children, but parents, teachers and the community.

A Bruce Lee Art Auction

This event was actually a Bruce Lee Art auction, where there were several original paintings of the martial arts legend were sold in a silent auction.

Here a Korean American NYC artist poses with the Bruce Lee painting.

However, another attraction of the event was “The Bruce Lee Special Cocktail with a KICK to It” – a special drink created by the organizers containing lots of tequila, tequila topped with a jalapeno pepper that certainly lived up to its name!

All of the ticket sales proceeds were donated to The Bruce Lee Foundation and the P.A.L. Police Athletic League.

Two of our friends were the artists who painted the mural of Bruce Lee shown near the top of this post.

Conclusion: 13 Interesting Facts About Cyber Bullying

Cyber Bullying is a serious and even deadly epidemic worldwide that we as a league of collective nations called The Human Race can no longer afford to turn a blind eye toward.

We need to raise more awareness about cyber bullying. Similar to my goal in writing this article.

Next we need to search to find better ways to combat the cyber bullies at work by creating then enforcing stronger deterrents and penalties for such terrible crimes.

Right now as I write this article, there are new emergent technologies that have been created and are in the beta testing phase. From what I am hearing, the results appear to be highly promising.

Finally, we need to create, sponsor, and organize more great fundraising tours and special private events like the Bruce Lee Stop the Bullying Tour and the Bruce Lee Art Auction.

Raising funds with the help of wealthy donors and through such important fundraising tours and events may be the only way to raise the necessary capital to purchase and license the new anti-cyber bullying technology.

Collectively with these critical elements in place, we The World Cyber Bully Police then may stand a fighting chance to weed out and destroy the “Evil Cy-Borg” the Cyber Bullies themselves – who lurk within the shadows and hide behind the mask of the internet, the most dangerous cyberspace.
